Health is Wealth – We are what we eat

One of the most important subject in Chinese 5 arts  or Chinese Metaphysics would be health well being and healing through traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) known as Yi, .  According to two of the oldest record related to human health, TCM and aryuvedic, human were born with self-healing ability to balance and harmonize energy (qi).   Overtime due to certain life style, activity or diet which impact the balance harmony and cause health problem.  TCM can be used to bring the balance through multiple healing method such as acupuncture, herbs etc.  

TCM is based on the fundamental of Chinese metaphysics principle of ying /yang with the five elements for both polarity.  TCM  classified various body organ as 5 element with ying and yang polarity. During the birth time of the person had already absorbed the energy of the moment from year, month, day and hour element,  therefore those element energies become a building block to a person body.  Some people are known to have weaker organ could be due to the element is either lacking during the time of birth or being combine/clash away or punish in the interaction between elements in the birth chart.  A bazi consultant should be able to give a clue through the decoding of the birth chart and there could some enhancement we can make through man luck.  Please refer to my earlier article on birth chart in relation to the elemental energy (Birth chart ; 4 pillars

Chinese metaphysics is about study of energy pattern within ourselves and the environment.   Human energy derive from the food we take,  in order to stay healthy we must keep a balance diet which had become a universal mantra.  Balance diet in TCM means  balance between ying/yang and 5 elements.  TCM practitioner had divided in food into ying (cooling food) and yang (warming food) follow by 5 element category base on taste and color.

Since we derived our energy from food we take, it is advisable to take food as close as possible to its natural form and fresh direct from the source. This mean food from should come from short supply chain from farm to consumer where it is fresh and wholesome in energy.  The existence of human species Homo sapiens could be trace back to more than 30000 years ago and we have evolve in several ways,  however our body biochemistry had not change that much.  Our body enzymes are design to breakdown natural food into energy packet which our body cell can easily absorbed.  Unfortunately processed food had becoming popular over the years for the convenience and taste that it offer has “contaminated” our eating habits. Processed food had to go through a long supply chain where each transformation step had altered the natural chemical thus the energy structure of the food cell.  Our body could not recognize the modified chemical structure and therefore could not metabolized the food properly.  What is not absorbed in our body will become toxin.

Food that are over processed could contain harmful chemical. As the saying goes,  you are what you eat,  therefore if you eat too much junk food,  imagine what will happen to you.  Processed food with too much salt, sugar, chemical will have an effect on body and brain chemistry.  All unwholesome chemical from food become toxin to our body and could cause our cell to grow differently and cloud our mind. There had been many study that claimed successful healthy people diet are natural food in small portion.  Gluttony  could over work our digestive system which mean imbalance to our body which confuse our mind.  All energy in our body are diverted to digest food and not in thinking with wisdom.  Remember that number one resources to become successful is healthy body and mind.
